How to add external web link using Adobe Acrobat Professional

You can easily create web links using Adobe Acrobat Professional. Please follow these steps:

  1. If you would like to auto-create all readable text links and emails to clickable links in digital edition, open PDF file in Acrobat Pro, on top menu go to Advanced > Document Processing > Create Links from URLs and then select All to create links on all pages.
  2. If you would like to draw links manually then you will need to enable 'Advanced Editing' toolbar. Right click on top navigation bar and select Advanced Editing or on top menu go to Tools > Advanced Editing > Show Advanced Editing Toolbar option.
  3. On Advanced Editing toolbar, select Marquee tool highlighted with red arrow.
  4. Click and drag to draw rectangle on any image or text.
  5. Select link type: Invisible Rectangle, Select Open a web page and click Next button.
  6. Type complete web address starting with http:// and click OK button.
  7. Email address links must start with mailto:
